Brigitte Bardot, the Beautiful Rebel for Animals
She has gone to join the stars of the animals. Brigitte Bardot, the beautiful rebel, the icon of French cinema who set aside her film career to devote her life to the defence of animals, is no more.
With deep emotion and immense respect, we bid farewell to the woman who advanced the cause of animals as no one else ever could. Thanks to a beauty as radiant on the inside as on the outside, she touched the hearts of women and men in France, in Europe, and throughout the world, and placed the animal cause at the very centre of our consciences. Brigitte Bardot was — and remains — the very essence of the beauty the world so deeply needs.
On the death of my father, Franz Weber in 2019, Brigitte Bardot wrote:
“Thanks to him, I became a warrior, a fighter against all the kinds of atrocities that humans inflict on animals throughout the world.”
We continue the fight. For Brigitte Bardot, for Franz Weber, but above all: for the animal world.
