Processing of personal data
The use of the internet pages of the Fondation Franz Weber or of projects of the Fondation Franz Weber is basically possible without providing any personal data. However, if a person concerned wishes to make use of special services offered by our company via our website, it may become necessary to process personal data. If the processing is necessary and there is no legal basis, we generally obtain the consent of the person concerned.

For the management of this personal data, we maintain a database containing the addresses of private individuals (donors and interested parties), as well as contact persons in foundations, municipalities, companies, and editorial offices. We receive personal data through various channels, whether directly from individuals expressing interest in Fondation Franz Weber, through requests for information and documentation, newsletter sign-ups, or financial support. We cross-reference this information with our existing address list and store it electronically. The use of this data is strictly limited to the intended activities and is not shared by Fondation Franz Weber with any third parties.

The management of personal data, for example the name, address, e-mail address or telephone number of a data subject, is always carried out in accordance with the applicable legislation and also with the basic data protection regulation in the specific. This corresponds to a Data Protection Management System (DPMS) and complies with Swiss data protection regulations as defined in SR 235.1 (Federal Act on Data Protection), SR 235.11 (Ordinance to the Federal Act on Data Protection), and SR 235.13 (Ordinance on Data Protection Certification). Additionally, it adheres to the guidelines provided by the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) concerning the minimum requirements for the DPMS. Selected control objectives from ISO/IEC 27001:2013 are integrated into the Data Protection Management System. The DPMS is sourced from an external service provider that is certified and subject to regular audits.

By means of this data protection declaration, we wish to inform the public about the nature, scope and purpose of the personal data collected, used and processed by us.

With regard to the processing of data and information, the Fondation Franz Weber has implemented numerous technical and organisational measures to ensure that the personal data processed via this website is protected as completely as possible. Nevertheless, Internet-based data transmissions can, in principle, have security gaps, so that absolute protection cannot be guaranteed. For this reason, every person concerned is free to transmit personal data to us by alternative means, for example by telephone.

Collection of general data and information and creation of log files
When you call up our website, the provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits to us. This information is recorded:

– Browser types and versions used
– the operating system used by the accessing machine
– the Internet server provider of the user
– Host name of the accessing computer
– Date and time of the server request
– The IP address of the user

This data cannot be assigned to a specific person and there is no consolidation of this data with other data sources, which ensures the anonymity of website visitors. The log files are stored to guarantee the functionality of the FFW website and to ensure the security of our information technology systems. Consequently, the processing of these data is based on the legal basis of the legitimate interests of the processor. These data are internally analysed statistically to tailor the content optimally to the needs of users and to enhance our online offerings. The data is only stored for as long as it is necessary to achieve the purpose of your collection. The storage of log files is absolutely necessary for the operation of the website, therefore you have no possibility to object to this.

This allows us to save certain settings so that you do not have to re-enter them when you visit the website again. The use of cookies and the processing of your data in this respect is based on the legal basis of our legitimate interest in the design of a user-friendly website.

The cookies are stored on your computer. You therefore have full control over the use of the cookies. You can delete them completely or deactivate or restrict their transmission by changing the settings in your internet browser. Registration on our website
The data subject has the possibility of registering on the website of the data controller by providing personal data. The personal data transmitted to the data controller is specified in the registration form. The personal data entered by the data subject are collected and stored solely for internal use by the data controller and for his own purposes. The controller may arrange for the personal data to be disclosed to one or more processors, such as a parcel service provider, who will also use the personal data exclusively for internal use attributable to the controller.

The controller will provide any data subject with information on the personal data relating to him/her at any time on request. Furthermore, the data controller shall correct or delete personal data at the request or notification of the data subject, unless this is contrary to any legal obligation to retain data. The entire staff of the data controller is available to the data subject as contact persons in this context.

Newsletter
With the following information, we would like to inform you about the contents of our newsletter as well as the registration, dispatch and statistical evaluation procedure and your rights of objection. By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to receive it and to the described procedures.

The personal data collected during registration for the newsletter is used exclusively for sending our newsletter. In addition, subscribers to the newsletter could be informed by e-mail if this is necessary for the operation of the newsletter service or for registration, as could be the case if there are changes to the newsletter offer or if technical conditions change. The personal data collected within the scope of the newsletter service will not be passed on to third parties. The subscription to our newsletter can be cancelled by the person concerned at any time. The consent to the storage of personal data, which the person concerned has given us for the newsletter service, can be revoked at any time. For the purpose of revoking this consent, a corresponding link is included in every newsletter. It is also possible to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time directly on the website of the data controller or to inform the data controller in another way.

Content of the newsletter
We send newsletters, e-mails and other electronic notifications containing promotional information only with the consent of the recipients. Our newsletter contains information about our projects, campaigns, emergency relief operations, actions and our organisation.

Double-Opt-In and logging: The registration for our newsletter takes place in a so-called Double-Opt-In procedure. This means that you will receive an e-mail after registration asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary so that nobody can register with foreign e-mail addresses. The newsletter registrations are logged in order to be able to prove the registration process in accordance with the legal requirements. This includes the storage of the registration and confirmation time as well as the IP address. Changes to your data stored by our dispatch service provider are also logged.

Registration data
To subscribe to the newsletter, it is sufficient to enter your e-mail address. Optionally, we ask you to enter a name so that we can address you personally in the newsletter.

Newsletter tracking
The newsletters of the Fondation Franz Weber contain so-called counting pixels. A tracking pixel is a miniature graphic that is embedded in such e-mails sent in HTML format to enable log file recording and log file analysis. This allows a statistical evaluation of the success or failure of online marketing campaigns. By means of the embedded pixel-code, the Fondation Franz Weber can identify whether and when an e-mail was opened by a person concerned and which links in the e-mail were called up by the person concerned.
Such personal data collected via the tracking pixels contained in the newsletters are stored and evaluated by the data controller in order to optimise the newsletter dispatch and to adapt the content of future newsletters even better to the interests of the data subject. This personal data is not passed on to third parties. Data subjects are entitled at any time to revoke the separate declaration of consent given in this regard using the double opt-in procedure. After revocation, these personal data will be deleted by the data controller. The Fondation Franz Weber automatically interprets a cancellation of receipt of the newsletter as a revocation.

Routine deletion and blocking of personal data
The data controller processes and stores personal data of the data subject only for the time necessary to achieve the purpose of storage or if provided for by the European Directives and Regulations or by any other law or regulation to which the data controller is subject.
If the purpose of storage ceases to apply or if a storage period prescribed by the European Directive and Regulation Giver or any other competent legislator expires, the personal data will be blocked or deleted as a matter of routine and in accordance with the statutory provisions.

Data protection provisions on the use and application of Google Analytics
The person responsible for processing has integrated the Google Analytics component (with anonymisation function) on this website. Google Analytics is a web analysis service. Web analysis is the collection, collection and evaluation of data on the behaviour of visitors to websites. Among other things, a web analysis service collects data about the website from which a person concerned came to a website (so-called referrer), which subpages of the website were accessed or how often and for how long a subpage was viewed. A web analysis is mainly used to optimise a website and for cost-benefit analysis of internet advertising.

The operating company of the Google Analytics component is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA.

The purpose of the Google Analytics component is to analyse the flow of visitors to our website. Among other things, Google uses the data and information obtained to evaluate the use of our website in order to compile online reports for us which show the activities on our website and to provide further services in connection with the use of our website. It is possible for the person concerned to object to the collection of data generated by Google Analytics and relating to the use of this website and the processing of this data by Google, and to prevent such collection. For this purpose, the person concerned must download and install a browser add-on under the link https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. This browser add-on informs Google Analytics via JavaScript that no data and information about visits to websites may be transmitted to Google Analytics. The installation of the browser add-on is considered by Google to be an objection. If the information technology system of the person concerned is deleted, formatted or reinstalled at a later date, the person concerned must re-install the browser add-on in order to deactivate Google Analytics. If the browser add-on is uninstalled or deactivated by the person concerned or by another person within his or her sphere of control, it is possible to reinstall or reactivate the browser add-on.

Further information and Google’s applicable privacy policy can be found at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy and http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html. Google Analytics is explained in more detail here: https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/analytics.

Social media
We use so-called plug-ins from social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or Instagram on our websites. This is always visible to you (typically via corresponding symbols). We have configured these elements so that they are deactivated by default. If you activate them (by clicking on them), the operators of the respective social networks can register that you are on our website and where and can use this information for their purposes. The processing of your personal data is then the responsibility of this operator in accordance with their data protection regulations. We do not receive any information about you from him.

Donation tool from RaiseNow
The data controller has integrated components of RaiseNow on this website. RaiseNow supports organisations in the digitalisation of fundraising: from donation forms and fundraising platforms including e-payment to CRM integration and automation of fundraising processes.

The operating company of RaiseNow is RaiseNow AG, Hardturmstrasse 101 with headquarters in 8005 Zurich, Switzerland.

Each time the data subject accesses any of the individual pages of this website operated by the data controller and on which a RaiseNow has been integrated, the Internet browser on the data subject’s information technology system is automatically prompted by the RaiseNow component to download a representation of the corresponding RaiseNow component. Further information on RaiseNow can be found at https://www.raisenow.com/de/produkte. In the course of this technical procedure, RauiseNow is informed about which specific subpage of our website is visited by the data subject.
The data protection regulations published by RaiseNow, which are available at https://www.raisenow.com/ch-de/datenschutz, provide information about the collection, processing and use of personal data by RaiseNow.

Changes
We may change this privacy policy at any time without notice. The current version published on our website applies.
