The Injured Foal – One of Many Souls Saved on Bonrook
Maluka, a foal only a few weeks old, was attacked and severely injured by wild dogs in a remote Indigenous community. Now, on the pastures of Bonrook, he can grow up safely among the station horses. But the rest of his herd still needs our help.

Fire Alarm on Bonrook: The Importance of Early Containment of Bushfires
A bushfire threatened the rangelands of Bonrook in August. With bone-dry grass, strong southeasterly winds and limited resources, the fire risked spreading uncontrollably. Thanks to a targeted backburning strategy, however, I was able to contain it — protecting the landscape, animals and people from the advancing flames.

Bonrook - Paradise for Australia’s Wild Horses Brumbies Since 1989
The heart-wrenching scenes of the 1980s remain unforgettable: Brumbies — Australia’s wild horses — were mercilessly shot from helicopters. Entire herds in panic, desperate foals beside their dead mothers. These brutal mass shootings were not only tolerated but actively organised by the Australian government — under the pretext that Brumbies spread diseases, especially to cattle.
